My need-to-know guide before moving in to a new home

After much thought and research, we’ve finally moved in, to our new apartment last April. My parents,my bestfriend Dr. Veloso and www.google.com helped me execute the rituals before transferring to a our new house.hehehe.

They say that the place we’re living in,greatly affects our family. Before transferring,  we first do our homework of finding out if the residence is near key places. We also ask around if the place provides competent security(the apartment owner surely wouldn’t mind if we have reasonable requests.) and needless to say, check out our  potential neighbours. We really want to make sure that the entire environment fits our family’s lifestyle!

consider the birthdates of each family member-to give you a guide as what date and time you should be transferring. They say it is best to move in during new moon.It equates with the potential to become abundant. Start  transferring early in the morning where there is sunlight, sky is clear, and has no clouds.Pick out the positives!

*The husband  enters the empty house first. He should say a short  prayer and proclaim ownership of the house. He shall bring inside holy water and salt, a sack of rice, a loaf of bread, a glass of water, and the plastic/glass containers filled with the following:oil, water, rice, and salt(not to be used!keep them  safe in the kitchen).

-The wife and the kids will now enter.( I brought in the bible, crucifix,Sto. Nino,St. Benedict medals,Miraculous medals, and some novenas. )

Locate and position the altar and pray. Secure copies for these prayers:St. Benedict,St. Michael,Sacred heart of Jesus, and Sto. Nino and prayers for ptotection.

Open all doors and windows. Hang wind  chimes to attract positive vibes and good fortune.

Open:lights,aircon,electric fans.

Let water taps run for a few minutes.Put the toilet lid down when not in use.Always close the bathroom door if it’s not occupied.

Start moving your stuff inside. You can actually move new stuff earlier than the appointed date and time but existing stuff like your  tired-looking furniture should be moved in the designated date and time or later. There should be no furniture behind the door.No chair should face the door. There should be even number of seats in the living/dining room.

-Cleanse the house by sprinkling a mixture of rice and salt at all the corners. You can burn incense in every room of the house too.

Boil a kettle of water and make some beverages.

Switch on the tv, and  radio

-Avoid too many electronics in the bedroom. There should be no mirror facing the bed and keep nothing under the bed too.

Cook a meal for the family.and prepare these: biko, nilaga, pansit.

Give everything a home:throw outdated items(you can sell out overgrown stuff  too) , categorize  things, and perk up some cabinetsYou can google  for some  decor tips ( you can add a splash of color to your plain walls) .Assign people to be waste pickers.A mess-free environment can change your bad mood to good.hehe.

Sleep overnight!
